West Zone crumbles

West Zone was demolished by the tough Central Zone for under 100 runs in the Deodhar Trophy match. Central Zone had an array of International players in Praveen Kumar, Raina, R P Singh, Chawla and Kaif who are keen on cementing their places in the Indian team. New sensation Praveen Kumar rocked the top order with his genuine swing before R P Singh struck a vital blow and bowling line to line to restrict their batsmen. Piyush Chawla picked up 3 wickets in 3 overs to polish off the tail. In reply, Central Zone chased the target in just 20 overs with 4 wickets falling. Only Abishek Nayar offered some resistance for the West Zone.
