Carvalho quits as hockey coach

Joaquim Carvalho, the Indian hockey coach has resigned after India's debacle at the Santiago qualifiers making them for the first time in 80 years not to get a berth in the Olympics. India had lost to Britain 0-2 in the final to allow their opponent seal a place in the Olympics. Carvalho, immediately announced this saying that, when he joined, he would resign if the results were not delivered. This is one of the lowest points in Indian hockey considered to be the national game. He also said that the system has to start from scratch and the players should not lose hope.
