Anand retains the prestigious Linares crown
Viswanathan Anand, the World No:1 chess player proved his superiority over others in the fray by winning the prestigious Linares tournament in Spain for the second consecutive year and the third time in his career. The last match with Topalov was a dull encounter even after the latter offered a pawn in the 11th move. But Anand settled for a draw and this helped his score for the tournament to rise to 8.5 out of a possible 14. This tournament features the top 8 players from the world of chess.
