England wins the test series

England came back very strongly after losing the first test to clinch the series 2-1 against New Zealand and scripted a famous away win. Needing more than 300 runs on the final day with only 5 wickets in hand, both McCullum and Vettori played really well under pressure to score 40's for their team. But they succumbed to the pressure. But the sensational knock came from the 19 year old debut Tim Southee who scored the fastest fifty by a Newzealander in 29 balls. He totally scored 9 sixes to create fears in the hearts of the visitors. But they lost the match by 121 runs in the end. Sidebottom bagged both Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards for his outstanding performance.
