Dravid's century in vain

Rahul Dravid, once again proved that he is a class customer when it comes to crunch situations with a masterly 139 from 138 balls for the South Zone against East Zone in the Deodhar Trophy tournament. But his century went in vain as South fell short of the target by 28 runs with Laxman not playing due to a finger injury he sustained during the match. East Zone banked on Saurav Tiwary and Shukla's fifties who helped to increase the team score to 270. Ganguly once again flopped in the match. South Zone started off badly with both Karthik and Uthappa falling quickly and the burden immediately fell on Dravid who with Arjun Yadav kept the asking rate just above 6. But with the latter getting out, East Zone rocked the remaining players and hence Dravid could not help his team win the match. But it was a great effort from the Wall.
