India wins the CB series

Indians conquered the Australians. They have bearded the lions in their own den. These are some of the comments expressed by people from various corners after India emphatically beat Australia in the second final. This match was a humdinger with it going into the final over but Indians were calm and composed to script a memorable victory. Dhoni said that this victory would rate above the 20 20 World cup win.

The match started with India winning the toss and electing to bat. Both Uthappa and Sachin played sensibly to see off the new ball and score almost 100 runs for the first wicket. Australians scripted a comeback with Hussey and Hopes but Indians found the wickets at regular intervals. Hopes played a breezy knock but could not find an able partner to support him. Irfan Pathan bowled a superb last over to take remaining 2 wickets and seal a famous victory.

Praveen Kumar was adjudged the Man of the Match while Nathan Bracken was the Man of the Series.
