Gebrselassie misses world record at Dubai marathon

Haile Gebrselassie, the best long distance runner the world has ever witnessed failed to break his own world record at the Dubai Marathon recently. Despite running at a brisk pace, he was well short of his record which he set in September 2007 in the Grand Prix event. Fans were thoroughly dejected on him not reaching a new milestone in an astonishing career consisting of more than 20 world records.
