Styris retires from Test cricket
Scott Styris, the stylish middle order batsman from New Zealand has announced his retirement from Test cricket to concentrate more on ODI's and T20 formats. This comes as a real blow to the team after Astle, Vincent and now Fleming who have announced retirement from this format of the game. Though not a versatile batsman, he can produce some match winning knocks in the middle order. He averages 36 from his 29 test appearances. Without Shane Bond, NZ have become a very depleted side and with England tour on the cards, its very difficult to see how they perform well.
